Fire-fighting operation almost complete in Hong Kong residential area: fire department

HONG KONG, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Fire-fighting operation is almost complete in Wang Fuk Court, a residential complex engulfed by a major fire since Wednesday afternoon, said the Fire Services Department (FSD) in a press briefing early Friday morning.

The FSD is still putting out fire in four units and spraying water on other units to prevent flare-ups. Firefighters will enter all units in the seven affected buildings to search for trapped residents, said the FSD, adding that the search is expected to be finished by 9 a.m. Friday.
