People in China, Central Asia create glories of ancient Silk Road: Xi

XI'AN, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Over the past millennia, people in China and Central Asia have created glories of the ancient Silk Road and written a magnificent chapter in the history of exchanges among civilizations, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.

Xi made the remarks when addressing a welcome banquet for Central Asian leaders attending the China-Central Asia Summit, which runs from Thursday to Friday in the northwestern Chinese city of Xi'an.
